THE QUESTION OF UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE FUNCTIONING IN THE CENTRAL COUNCIL OF UKRAINE ACTIVITIES (MARCH, 1917 – APRIL, 1918)
Abstract
The article discusses Ukrainian language functioning in the Ukrainian People’s Republic over the rule of the Central Council. The Council strengthened the status of Ukrainian as the state language at the legislative level, and made efforts to implement fully its functioning at all levels. The author analyzes the UPR legislation and presents specific examples of its implementation.
