ON THE HISTORY OF THE MAKING OF THE DIRECTORY OF THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC – CIRCUMSTANCES AND FIGURES
Abstract
In the article, the process of preparation to the uprising of 1918 against the hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi’s regime and the circumstances of the establishing of the uprising’s governing body – the Directory – are considered. After the successful uprising, the Directory became the central state administrative institution for the period until the next session of the Labour congress of Ukraine. The date, place, and the course of the meeting, on which the Directory was elected, are also analyzed. The list of the participants was specified. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of the formation of the personal composition of the Directory. The first steps of the Directory during the early phase of the anti-hetman uprising were analyzed.
