INVESTIGATION OF THE CAMEOS COPIES SET OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY FROM THE COLLECTION OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF UKRAINIAN HISTORY
Abstract
An interesting set of plaster cameos copies is preserved in the National Museum of Ukrainian History. It was investigated by the scholars, restorers, and experts of the Bureau of scientific and technical examination ‘Art-Lab’. As a result of the research, the basic materials used for manufacturing the container and cameo imprints were determined. The whole set was dated to the second half of the 19th century.
