Abstract

In 2014 the restoration work of two interesting exhibits from the National Museum of Ukrainian History was done. There were two plinthos from 10th century with the relief image of Trident, the sign of Volodymyr the Great. Restoration was held to improve the expositional appearance of those exhibits. Post-restoration examinations were done and new conclusions were drawn on the process of imprinting the relief of Trident image. The authors tried to reproduce the process of plinth molding and putting the relief image on it. They also paid attention to the history of exploring of these artifacts and their analogues.
