NADIIA SHENDRYK: PAGES OF LIFE
Abstract
N. Shendryk worked in the Kyiv History Museum from 1944 to 1988. She was promoted from a research assistant to the chief of department. She took an active part in the reconstruction of the museum after the war. She worked as a methodist and was a skilled specialist in the field of collection management, exhibition and educational work at the museum. She is the author of many exhibitions on topics of Slavic-Rus history. While creating permanent exhibition «Eastern Slavs. Ancient State dated 10th–13th centuries», she defended the principle of new integrated display of archaeological materials. N. Shendryk’s research interests are related to the archeology of Kyivan Rus.
