ON THE HISTORY OF UKRAINIAN MUSEUMS: TIMASHEVA MARIIA SEMENIVNA (1894 – AFTER 1955)

Abstract

The article traced the life’s path of Ukrainian museum worker, meteorologist and librarian Timasheva Mariia Semenivna. On the basis of archival and published sources authors trace and highlight the Timasheva’s main stages of life and working life, namely years of study and work in the Museum of Starobilsk district, the Archaeological Museum of Kharkiv State University, at the meteorological station and in the Office of Hydrometeorological Service under the Government of Ukrainian SSR, libraries, particularly in the Central Scientific Library of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Scientific Library of the Institute of Archaeology of the AS USSR.
