Abstract

The paper presents the examination of history of discoveries of the Stone Age sites in the vicinities of Anetovka village (the Bakshala River valley, Domanevka district of Nikolayev region, Ukraine), undertaken by F. A. Kozubowskyi in the early 1930s. In 1930–1931 in the Bakshala River valley at least 4 Stone Age sites were discovered by the expedition under the direction of F. Kozubovskyi. Therefore, it is incorrect to combine these materials with those from other sites of the Bakshala River valley, discovered much later.

Key words: North-West Black Sea region, Upper Palaeolithic, site, cultural layer, flint.
