Abstract

The report is devoted to the unknown historical facts of the renewal of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra’s Assumption Cathedral in 1820–1830s. Based on the archival sources, the study reveals the process of murals and icons renovation, creation of new art compositions, renewal of icons’ settings within the Great Iconostasis. The new data about the artists, masters, charity providers, who had contributed to the renewal of the main cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, have been introduced to academia.
