BORYS DMYTROVYCH MYKHAYLOV – ARCHAEOLOGIST AND MUSEUM WORKER (MARCH 26, 1936 – DECEMBER 27, 2008)
Abstract
The article deals with the personality of B. D. Mykhaylov as an archeologist and museum worker, historiographer and publisher, a serious scientist and popularizer of science. B. D. Mykhaylov was the founder and the first director of the National historical and archeological reserve “Stone Tomb”. The article notes his contribution to the study of petroglyphs of the unique site of the primitive art Stone Tomb and archeology of Southern Ukraine. The subject of the research is the life-way and research activity of the scientist-archaeologist, historian-ethnologist, who made a significant contribution to the development of the national historical science.
