Abstract

This article is the result of the studies of the burial site (late 7th–early 6th centuries B.C.) near the village Ivankovychi in Kyiv. The aim was to reconstruct its structure in 3D. After matching the tilt angles of the poles and the holes for them with vector graphics (Inkscape-0.48) and 3D computer graphics (Blender 2.49) software applied the highest point of the poles alignment was renewed and the position of the poles was located. Furthermore, the diameter (21–21.5 m) and the height (0.8 m) of the rampart as well as the conical structure were reconstructed. The reconstructed diameter of the cone may have equaled 17–19 m and it may have been up to 8 m high.

Key words: barrow, conical structure, rampart, wooden structure, 3D graphic reconstruction.
