Abstract

The article is the first study of the mortar mouse traps (mousetraps) from the funds of the National Museum of History of Ukraine. The authors analyze how the mortar mousetraps were moved to the museum, demonstrate their world analogies, explore the history of the development of the mouse traps, in particular, the mortar traps. The authors propose such a category of the museum objects as “mortar mousetraps”, previously defined as “mortat mousepresses”.
