INTERACTIVE PROGRAM OF WORK WITH PRIMARY- AND MIDDLE-SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MOBILE AND STATIONARY EXHIBITIONS OF MIKOLAIV REGIONAL MUSEUM OF LOCAL LORE

Abstract

The article analyzes the work of the department of mobile and stationary exhibitions of the Mykolaiv Regional Museum of Local Lore, summarizes the results of the department’s activities over the last five years and examines the interactive museum program developed for primary- and middle-school-age children. The museum, as a specific multifunctional socio-cultural mechanism, aimed at preserving the historical and cultural heritage, studying museum monuments, and at the same time conducting significant scientific and educational activities, carries out exposition work. The museum activity involves broad public relations, and the communicative function becomes of particular importance in the interconnections of the museum and society.
