Abstract

The article is about preventive conservation in art museums during the 50-60-s based on the data from Kyiv Central State Archives of Supreme Bodies of Power and Government of Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the introduction of the first national ‘Recording and Storage Instructions’ for museums. The author analyzes the nature and dynamics of changes in the field of artistic monuments storage since the introduction of the ‘Instructions’.
