OPEN-AIR EXHIBITION ON THE KHORTYTSYA ISLAND IN THE PROJECTS OF LVIV BRANCH OF UKRAINIAN SPECIAL SCIENTIFIC AND RESTORATION DESIGN INSTITUTE ‘UKRPROEKTRESTAVRATSIYA’
Abstract
This article is about the architectural and ethnographic complex of the history of the Zaporozhian Cossacks. This complex was designed in 1989–1992. The projects were prepared by the specialists of Lviv Branch Ukrainian Scientific and Restoration Design Institute ‘Ukrproektrestavratsiya’. This article demonstrated objective and subjective factors which influenced the choice of interpretational model of image of Zaporozhian Sich in the form of open-air exposition on the Khortytsya Island. In the context of this study the word ‘model’ denotes: content, structure, composition, method of creating an exposition.
