Abstract

The article is about the role of Viktor Mishalov (a representative of the Ukrainian diaspora in Australia and the USA, bandura-player, researcher of the history of the kobzar movement in Ukraine, composer) in the revival of the national instrument of kobzars – the old-world diatonic bandura and the Kharkiv manner of playing by Khotkevych as well as preservation of information about the activity and existence of traditional blind bandura-players in Ukraine and highlighting the role of H. M. Khotkevych in the history of traditional kobzar-playing.
