Abstract

The purpose of this study is systematization of this researcher’s works on local lore. By means of analysis of the new studies on the subject the scholar’s role in studying of the history of Chernihiv region, in particular its historical sites, was clarified. Special attention is paid to the main influences on professor V. V. Dubrovsky’s local-lore studies and his academic links, which undoubtedly played a very important role in his formation as a scholar.
