I. ABAROVSKY IS A FOUNDER OF THE LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM OF NEDRYHAYLIV

Abstract

The most important milestones of the life and activities of I. Abarovsky, the founder of the local history museum of Nedryhayliv in the Sumy region, are highlighted in this article. The formation of the ethnographer’s ideological landmarks are clarified in the course of displaying the biographical field of him. I. Abarovsky is viewed through the prism of his searches, regional studies, academic researches, journalistic, educational, and public works. The focus is on the activities of Nedryhayliv museum of local lore, its funds and exhibitions. Due to the great ascetic work of I. Abarovsky, the Nedryhayliv museum became the leading historical and educational, tourist center of Posullia. The article analyzes the experience of the founder of the museum in Nedryhayliv land, which can be used by museum workers from other regions of Ukraine, and will contribute to a comprehensive study of the peculiarities of the development of the museum business and its popularization.
