SPREADING INFORMATION ABOUT THE HOLODOMOR IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 1930s

Abstract

An attempt to analyze the methods of spreading information about the Holodomor during 1932–1933 was made in the article. The main sources of the information about the tragedy were direct witnesses, some foreign journalists, and public figures. Article emphasizes the efforts of Ukrainians who were living outside the Ukrainian Soviet Social Republic (Ukrainian SSR) to put across the truth about the terror of hunger to the world community and organize international humanitarian aid to people suffering from hunger.
