RESEARCH AND RESTORATION OF PORCELAIN VASE CRATER “MEDICIS” FROM THE COLLECTION OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF UKRAINIAN HISTORY
Abstract
The publication is devoted to the problem research and restoration of the monument the Western European porcelain vases on the example of vase in the form of the crater of the nineteenth century. Special attention is given to the way in of shaping and decoration experiments aimed at finding new creative effects which manifest themselves in the future functioning of the works and are reflected in their conservation. In this regard marked the basic aspects of loss additions on porcelain. Restoration approaches to different museum works manifested in different ways: from full non-intervention in the structure of the monument to the maximum of its reproduction on porcelain. The theme, which the author explores, covers a number of questions of the restoration techniques of porcelain, technology of their creation and art analysis.
