Abstract

Research objective is studying of a contribution of V. I. Zabolotny to development of the Ukrainian architecture of the second half of the 1930th in a segment of housing construction. The following tasks are for this purpose defined: 1) to establish prerequisites of development of the project of a house for employees of Academy of Sciences of USSR, to track history of its creation and to define features of functioning of the building at the present stage; 2) to reveal style and design features of a house; 3) to define the place of the project in the course of V. I. Zabolotny’s formation as architect; 4) to staticize one of the architectural objects designed by the outstanding architect in the second half of the 1930th. During the research methods were applied: chronological, comprehensive consideration, structurally functional analysis; principles: historicism and objectivity.
