Abstract

In 2016 in the collection of National Museum of Ukrainian History appeared an exhibit of the Old Russ period. This is a hryvna so-called of the Kievan type. It turned out there is not that shape among famous kievan grivnas of the NMUH collection. In this article the author explored a new gryvna on the issue of the authenticity, described the technological features of their manufacture. Based on previous studies, the author compared the new type with made classification of the kievan grivnas of the NMUH collection.
