POPULARIZATION OF VOLYN MUSEUM’S ACTIVITIES: TRADITIONS AND INNOVATIONS
Abstract
The article is based on an analysis of scientific documents from the Volyn local history museum’s archive. It characterized by traditional and new forms of work with the museum’s audience and potential visitors, aimed at Volyn region museum’s popularization in 1991–2015. Established that Volyn museum’s workers pay great attention to the effective establishing cooperation with society of this territory. TV and radio museum’s advertising is an effective factor, which helps to attract visitors and expand the museum’s audience (especially youth). Publications of Volyn museum’s are various and differs by wide problematics. There are a lot of publishing information like guidebooks, catalogs, booklets, brochures helps visitors. Museums have clubs and schools, where works are carried out in the form of a master class, museum sittings, staging of folk rituals and customs, open days. Internet technologies offer great opportunities for information with the museum’s collections. Virtual visitors can read news about the Volyn region Museum and leading territory museums by created in 2011 web resource “Volyn Museum’s Space”. Another six territory museums have their own web sites too. The experience of Volyn museum’s activities analyzed in the article can be used by museum workers from other regions and will contribute to comprehensive and more integrated study of museum building’s processes, typical for Ukraine in the last decade.
